Blackwood, Caerphilly is a vibrant town situated just off the A4048 about 7 miles North of Caerphilly and 16 miles North of Cardiff. The River Sirhowy runs North to South at the edge of the town.
Blackwood was founded in the early 19th century by a local colliery owner but was never a mining town. Blackwood has a bus station with good services to local towns, villages and the nearby train stations at Pengam and Hengoed.
